The platform fosters an interactive community where members can admire each other's collections, place bids, or initiate trades, making it more than just a gallery—it's a social experience for fans of football culture. With a focus on sleek, modern design and a fashion-forward aesthetic, United is built for collectors who see football jerseys as timeless, iconic pieces that represent passion, heritage, and the beauty of the game.

Inspiration and concept
As a football shirt collector myself, I often struggle to find the authentic jerseys I want. When I do come across them, they’re frequently replicas or fakes. Authenticating a shirt requires multiple steps—like asking sellers for close-up photos of tags, labels, and crests—which many people are unwilling to provide. Inspired by platforms like Vinted and Marktplaats, I envisioned United as a platform specifically for football shirt enthusiasts, with an added twist: users don’t have to sell to be part of the community. They can simply showcase their collections, view others’ shirts, and find inspiration. The goal of United is to provide additional information about each jersey, with a future plan to integrate a system for validating authenticity.
Design process
For the design, I used Figma to create a moodboard focused on fashion and collectible apps for inspiration. I started with wireframes, which I then developed into high-fidelity prototypes. My aim was to design a platform with a modern, urban, and fashionable aesthetic. The feedback from those I showed it to was very positive—many loved the concept and design. Hopefully, one day United can become a reality.
